As we close out 2025, we've been thinking about this newsletter — what it's become, who it serves, and where it's headed.
Over the last year, our Youtube channel has expanded beyond newcomer and career advice - and focusing more on Canada's future, the opportunities it creates now, and celebrating what makes this country exceptional. So it's time for a name that matches that vision. We’re changing from MakeThatWork to The Change.
What's changing:
New name: The Change (by Make That Change)

What's NOT changing:
The same insights on Canadian life, money, culture, and navigating this country
Same frequency, same mission: helping you make smarter decisions about work, life and money in Canada
Why the Change?
"Make That Work" started as a career-focused newsletter, but many subscribers asked for more. You wanted the bigger picture: how Canada works, not just how to get a job here.
The Change reflects what we've become — a guide to understanding and thriving in Canada, across work, life, money, and everything in between.

You will keep getting it here. We've also recently launched a career-focused platform, Boost - and this is where you can find in-depth guides, tools and career mentorship going forward.
